More than 300 happy PBC Dems joined us to celebrate the holiday season at last Thursday’s 2013 PBCDP Annual Holiday Celebration & Toy Drive at the West Palm Beach Airport Hilton! A great time was had by all — and best of all, over 500 toys were collected for Toys for Tots and Children’s Medical Services! In addition to the evening’s haul, hundreds of other toys were collected by Democratic Clubs and groups for an estimated total of over 1000 toys for needy PBC children who otherwise might not receive a gift this holiday season. The Palm Beach County Democratic Party would like to extend great appreciation to our amazing, larger-than-ever-before Host Committee who helped support the event, and to the wonderful event volunteer team for their incredible work. Special thanks to the Toy Drive Coordinators Brenda & Dave Schumacher, who have spent countless hours leading the annual Toy Drive for the PBC Democratic Party — KUDOS to these very special people. No More Silence: A Call for Remembrance and Resolve, an event in recognition of the one year anniversary of what happened in Newtown, Connecticut was held on Saturday, December 14, at the Huizenga Plaza Ampitheater, 1 E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
